In a remote forest location, 1 hour by boat upstream from the village of Batu Puteh and surrounded by pristine limestone karst rainforest, the Supu Adventure Camp offers a unique insight into rare limestone habitats. The camp is basic but provides a safe and comfortable platform to experience life in the rainforest, alongside jungle trekking, caving, historical sites, and wildlife cruises on the Kinabatangan River. Supu Camp offers limited accommodation for only 20 eco-visitors at any one time in a traditional style ranger camp (a stretcher hammock camp).
websiteThis remote and off-grid location is designed to raise funds for KOPEL's long-running forest conservation initiatives, is low energy, and low impact by design. Supu Adventure Camp is designed for serious bird and wildlife photographers, who will not be disappointed by the volume and diversity of mammal, bird, amphibian, and reptile species in the surrounding limestone forests. Plant lovers will also be amazed by the diversity of plants and forest types within a short walk from the camp.
Staying at the Supu Adventure Camp supports forest and lake restoration projects by the community co-operative, KOPEL Bhd.
Get ready for some serious jungle, with leaches, mosquitoes, and steamy tropical downpours... The Supu Adventure Camp is designed for the brave, and those who really want to get away from it all. Stay at the Supu Adventure Camp for your next team building program, student trip, or educational project; or simply sit-back and wind-down in this amazing location, to absorb the smells, sights, and sounds of the Borneo rainforest.
